This is a fantastic story about the modern life of extraordinary characters. The main roles are played by Lantern, Trash Can, Juniper Bush, and Treadmill.
Illustrating this book challenged me in many ways. The unusual characters inspired me to search for unconventional ideas: I walked around the city photographing trash bins, asked friends to send me pictures of lanterns, and puzzled over how to capture the ‘springiness’ of a treadmill. But the effort was worth it — the book turned out bright and engaging, and the characters became truly charismatic.
